The performance in Skopje is realized as part of @lokomotiva.mk program Art Politics Institution Body in collaboration with MOT+ / 50 years of @mkc_skopje.

♥️ It is time to announce the results of OPEN CALL: POETIC BODIES by @zhanapencheva

ICC (Imaginative Choreographic Center) together with @lokomotiva.mk – Center for New Initiative in Arts and Culture, launched an open call to select 3 ARTISTS (co-researches) to participate in ICC program line POETIC BODIES, this time led by Zhana Pencheva, in Skopje, North Macedonia.

"The 3 selected artists to join garden share with me common interests and motivate me to think further in multiple directions, given the diverse perspectives they proposed in relation to the topic. The selected artists are Iskra Prodanova, Jovan Gakovski and Jovana Zajkova.

I would also like to mention that I have personally invited Kire Gjorevski to join us in this situation. His participation is funded through another program line of ICC.

Thank you again for sharing your artistic garden dreams and your interest to collaborate with me in such a context. I find you all very inspiring and I'm sure we will cross paths soon. It was meaningful for me to get to know you a little bit better. "

About MCC:

MCC is 5 day morning training where we will meet for one hour and celebrate dancing together through different body practices and music varieties.

The chosen artist is @oviedo.val with their proposal “Feisty”, an invitation to explore the notion of conflict, its origin and mission, through the experimentation of movement that manifests in combative and theatrical expressions. “Feisty” aims to tap on humor, aggression, foolishness, and resistance, and it is inspired by lucha libre, (free wrestling), and cockfight, the two most traditional battle practices in Mexican culture.
